Note: this song was included in the 2006 FIFA World Cup Soundtrack. As Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive of Music at EA, commented, “The FWC is the most exhilarating, action-packed and emotional sports event in the world. No matter where you are, London, Munich, Sao Paulo or Tokyo, unforgettable songs pulsate through the stadium, flood the streets and fill your heart….”

I think Aloha Wari Boom lyrics and sounds capture extremely well the spirit of cheering Brazilian fans in the soccer stadiums. The sounds of the drums instigate/support the players to move in the field and give us their best. Wari’ (the apostrophe is part of this original language and does not denote possession here) refers to a group of Native Indigenous People who live in the Amazon Rain Forest. The word Wari’ is used by outsiders in reference to this people and has a few meanings. It is the pronoun for the first person plural inclusive “we,” but it can also be translated as “people” or “human being”.

Another notable song included in the same soundtrack was Mas Que Nada (Never Mind) by artist Sergio Mendes featuring Black Eyed Peas, which is the first Brazilian song in Portuguese (at least in part) to enter the Line Dance World by the great choreographer Kate Sala.
