By far the best place to learn about dance classes and dance socials in the San Francisco Bay Area is BayAreaLineDancing (better known as BALD) a Yahoo Group developed by Frances Lind. You have to be a member of Yahoo to access the site (this is a MODERATED group), but it is free and easy to join. It is also safe and family friendly. You will need to give your correct email address, but you can shield that from others. You can create a Yahoo or Hotmail email account to use in joining Yahoo.
After signing up with Yahoo, you can join the BayAreaLineDancing group. And then you can view the calendar maintained on the site. This calendar contains a list of almost all the classes in the area, and it is usually kept up to date because the instructors themselves can maintain it. Or you can choose to receive the calendar items via email. Daily digest is the preferred email version to sign up for.

As a service to local instructors and students, some of the contributors to this site are maintaining class information at the links shown below. Other instructors who would like to advertise their classes here should email the webmaster. Class details may not be up to date, so unless you are certain a class will be held, you should contact the instructor before going to it.
