SnK Line Dance (Sue ‘n’ Kathy) will be hosting a Kick-off Summer Social & Fundraiser on Sunday afternoon, June 10 in Cupertino. Proceeds go to charity, the YMCA’s Strong Kids Campaign. They have a tentative playlist that contains a number of old favorites (Tush Push, Simplemente, Dizzy) as well as some of the latest hits (Ray of Light, Cold Blooded Lover, To Infinity and Beyond); most of the dances will be familiar to BnB dancers.
The Country Hustlers will be holding a dance, also on June 10, at a new location: the Alamo Women’s Club in Alamo. Millie Dusha will be the DJ.
The Boots ‘n’ Buckles Dance Club will not be holding a dance on Friday, June 15 because there will be a high school graduation nearby and no parking available for miles around. However, Amy & Friends will be holding their Third Friday Social that day from 10am to 2pm in Fremont. Amy & Friends will also be hosting a Simon Ward Workshop (flyer, registration form) in Fremont on Friday, October 12.
The next Cactus Corner dance will be on Saturday, June 16 in Danville. The Quicksteppers will be holding a DJ and Teacher Appreciation Dance that same night in Belmont, with Evelyn and Denny as the DJs.
And on Friday night, June 22 the Boots ‘n’ Buckles Dance Club will be hosting the First Annual Line Dance Connection at Swiss Park. We’re hoping to mix it up with a number of other clubs and dance groups that evening, each of which will be able to make dance requests. Gary Clayton will be the DJ.
On Saturday, June 23 Michael and Michelle will be holding a Dance And Dip Workshop in Corning. On the same day in Cupertino, Joyce and Mike Shannon will hold a Luau themed social dance.
The Wine Country Dancers hold occasional social dances in Novato, mostly on second Sundays, with their next dance on July 8. They’re sponsoring a workshop with Ira Weisburd on October 23 in Petaluma, and a workshop next February with Niels Poulsen.
